VeinFinder Lite is a camera-based visualization app that applies live image filters on your device. It is intended for educational and general visualization purposes only. VeinFinder Lite is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Information We Collect
VeinFinder Lite may process or access the following categories of information:
- Camera data: Camera frames are used to generate the live visualization filter. Camera frames are processed locally on your device.
- App settings: VeinFinder Lite may store local preferences such as onboarding status, selected quality mode, free trial status, premium entitlement cache state, and related app settings.
- Purchase status: Premium status may be checked through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.
- Advertising data: When ads are enabled, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostic information, and other data used to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics for Firebase may collect app interactions, purchase events, device information, and experiment assignment data so we can compare Premium offer designs and improve the app.
- Diagnostics: App stores, ad providers, and purchase services may process technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, crash information, and performance events.
Camera and Images
VeinFinder Lite requests camera permission so it can display the live filtered preview. Camera frames are processed on your device for the live filter experience. We do not operate a server that receives your live camera feed.
When you save or export images in VeinFinder Lite, saved images may be stored locally on your device or shared only when you choose to export or share them. Free-tier saved images may include repeated VeinFinder Lite watermarks.
Ads
VeinFinder Lite may use Google AdMob to display ads in the free version of the app. Interstitial ads may appear after a camera session ends. A free user may also voluntarily choose to complete a rewarded ad to save one screenshot without a watermark; saving with a watermark remains available without watching that ad. Google may process information to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
You can learn more about Google's privacy practices at Google's Privacy Policy. For regions where consent is required, VeinFinder Lite may use Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage privacy choices.
Premium Purchases
VeinFinder Lite may offer an optional one-time Premium unlock or prepaid, time-limited Premium access that does not renew automatically. Purchases are processed by Google Play. Google Play Billing may receive data needed to validate purchases and manage entitlements, such as product identifiers, purchase tokens or receipts, device and app information, and purchase status.
Google Play purchase processing is subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide the live camera visualization and app features.
- Remember app settings and premium entitlement state.
- Show ads in the free version and measure ad performance.
- Process and verify optional Premium purchases.
- Maintain app security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal, platform, and policy obligations.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or allow processing of information with service providers that help operate VeinFinder Lite, including Google AdMob, Firebase, and Google Play. These providers process data according to their own terms, privacy policies, and data processing commitments.
Children's Privacy
VeinFinder Lite is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review and address the issue.
Data Retention
Local app preferences remain on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the app. Third-party providers may retain advertising, purchase, diagnostic, and entitlement data according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.
Your Choices
- You can deny or revoke camera permission in Android system settings, though the live camera feature will not work without it.
- You can manage purchases through your Google Play account.
- You can reset or limit advertising identifiers through Android or Google settings where available.
- Where required, you may be shown privacy choices for ads through Google's consent tools.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and third-party services are governed by their own security practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of VeinFinder Lite after an update means the revised policy applies.
